1877 The last of the Wachovia land still owned by the Moravian Church in Europe is deeded to the Southern Province in the name of the Provincial Elders Conference.
1887 The first full-fledged hospital of Salem and Winston opens its doors. It is the inspiration of 31 women who first met 27 June at the home of Emma Fries Bahnson to organize the Ladies Twin-City Hospital Association.
1921 The first Moravian service in the Winston-Salem suburb of Ardmore is held in the home of Br. and Sr. L. M. Hahn on Beach Street. It will become Ardmore Moravian Church.
