While the Moravian Archives is more known for our manuscript and archival collections, we have extensive holdings in books and periodicals. There are two collections – one is our Research Library, which is available next to our Reading Room for people to use as desired and the other is our rare book collection, which is held in the Vault and must be requested for use in the Reading Room. Neither collection is circulating, but only the rare book collection requires a research appointment.
The Research Library is cataloged in full thanks to the generosity of the Moravian Music Foundation. A portion of the rare book collection has also been cataloged. Both can be searched through our online catalog.
