A Continuous Tradition Since 1728
The Moravian Daily Texts (Losungen) have inspired and guided readers around the world for nearly three centuries. First compiled in 1728 by the Moravian Church, this daily devotional pairs a selected Scripture verse with a related text and hymn for every day of the year—a practice that continues in dozens of languages and communities across the globe today.
At the Moravian Archives, Southern Province, we are privileged to preserve a complete collection of the Daily Texts dating back to 1728. These small but powerful volumes reflect the enduring devotional life of the Moravian Church and offer a remarkable window into the faith and history of our community.
