Personal and Historical Collections

While our primary focus is documenting the history of the Moravian churches and agencies of the Southern Province, we are interested in doing that through more than just the records of those entities. We collect the personal collections of individual Moravians, particularly if the papers they keep document life as a Moravian in any capacity. We also hold material that documents the history of North Carolina, especially Salem and especially if the material is relating to Moravians. Personal and historical collections represent about a quarter of our holdings.
